New Tension Control Systems

Wichita is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement to partner TTS Systems for their next generation of web Tension Controls. Wichita has served the converting industry with the Wichita range of pneumatic brakes and tension control systems for more than 40 years. TTS Systems are a specialised tension control provider offering tailored solutions to the most arduous tension applications.

By partnering, TTS Systems and Wichita are able to offer a complete tension control package of tension brakes and tension controls to the converting industry. Both partners see this new partnership as a ‘win win’ situation. Wichita gets a brand new tension control portfolio developed specifically to their requirements. TTS Systems gain a global sales and distribution network.

The new ‘Easy Cal’ range of tension controllers is a bespoke new generation of web tension controllers that offers exceptional performance and ease of installation and commissioning. The ‘Easy Cal’ controller employs the very latest ‘plug and play’ technology making set up easy. Calibration of the sensing heads is a single push button, making it the fastest available today. The ‘Easy Cal’ controller can be used with load cells, dancer arm or ultrasonic sensing.

A complete range of load cells is available including flat bed (foot mount), cartridge, cantilever and annular. Accessories such as I/P transducers, E/P transducers, rotary potentiometers, linear potentiometers and sonic sensors are also available.

Wichita and TTS Systems will be jointly marketing this revolutionary new control package in the UK market. Worldwide sales of the ‘EasyCal’ Wichita package will be served by the Wichita global distribution sales and service network.
